The Netherlands and the world are becoming increasingly digital. A successful digital economy depends on secure digital systems and processes. At the same time, digitalisation introduces new security risks and challenges. In the Netherlands, SMEs and organisations in essential sectors that are not classified as vital remain particularly vulnerable to cyber threats.
Security Delta (HSD) believes that a sector-based, collaborative approach can make a real difference. By working together with and for specific sectors, we strengthen cyber resilience at the regional level and scale successful initiatives nationally. This approach helps organisations improve their digital resilience while reducing fragmentation and making cybersecurity efforts more effective.
We bring together businesses, governments, knowledge institutions and sector organisations to strengthen cyber resilience across the supply chain. Our work includes the Cyber Resilience Centres for the Horticulture Sector and the Manufacturing Industry in South Holland, the Roadmap for Cyber Resilience in South Holland, and collaboration with European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs), including Digitalzh. We aim to strengthen our role in the national cyber resilience network. We connect regional initiatives with national and regional policy developments, including the Dutch National Technology Strategy (NTS), and link these to concrete innovation programmes.
In addition, we connect cyber resilience with innovation programmes and stimulate collaboration on operational technology (OT) security through the Industrial Platform Cyber Security (IPCS). Through our work on Secure by Design, we also promote the integration of security into the design and development of digital products, systems and processes.
