Launch HSD Strategy 2021-2025

To ensure that as a cluster we continue to provide added value in the coming years, we have shaped an HSD strategy 2021-2025 in close collaboration with our partners and stakeholders. Aiming for a supported vision, clear roles and the formulation of joint outcome goals and action lines. The strategy was launched during the annual meeting on 26 November.

Joris den Bruinen: "After our joint effort of shaping this strategy, it is time to jointly implement it. The first steps have been taken. We know where we want to go as a cluster, contributing to the security of our digital world and to the economy. For the Netherlands, South Holland and The Hague. With and for the HSD partners and stakeholders. With HSD Office as an accelerator. Focussing on the themes cybersecurity & cyber resilience, data & intel / AI for security and smart secure societies." 

Summary Strategy

The goals in this strategy are aimed at providing solutions for social security challenges. We want to achieve this by sharing knowledge, collaborating on and stimulating innovations. With the spin-off of strengthening the economy, creating employment and a more digitally resilient the Netherlands. Because, digital security and the economy are two sides of the same coin. Our approach is multidisciplinary and holistic. Businesses, knowledge institutions and governments share their expertise and work together on security innovations. Together, we also look at the ethical, social, legal and privacy aspects of new technological security solutions.

The five main goals for the coming years:

1. Increase knowledge of Dutch organisations about 'security in a digitising world'.
2. Establish powerful collaborations that lead to valorisation and security innovations.
3. Help organisations to enter the national and international market.
4. Arrange funding for security solutions and capital for growth.
5. Help reveal the mismatch between supply and demand of security talent and contribute to the solution. 

HSD's mission is to make a significant contribution to a safer digital world and to make the Netherlands economically stronger. This starts in The Hague, the city of peace, justice and security, and in the province of South Holland. We share the common ambition of a favourable business climate for companies, international security conferences, capital and talent. Both in the city and in the region, cyber resilience and the use of data and technology for a smart society are high on the agenda. Together we work on an innovative climate and job growth within the city, the province and in the Netherlands.

Lancering HSD Strategie 2021-2025

Om ervoor te zorgen dat we als cluster ook de komende jaren toegevoegde waarde blijven leveren, hebben we in nauwe samenwerking met onze partners en stakeholders de HSD strategie 2021-2025 vormgegeven. Met als doel: een gedragen visie, heldere rollen en het formuleren van gezamenlijke doelen en actielijnen. De strategie is gelanceerd tijdens de jaarvergadering samen met een interviewbundel met ervaringen van HSD partners. 

Joris den Bruinen: "We hebben met velen deze strategie vormgegeven en nu is het tijd om deze gezamenlijk uit te gaan voeren. De eerste stappen zijn gezet. We weten waar we als organisatie ten behoeve van veiligheid en economie heen willen. Voor Nederland, Zuid-Holland en Den Haag. Met en voor de HSD partners en stakeholders. Met HSD Office als katalysator en de focus op de thema's cybersecurity & cyber resilience, data & intel / AI voor veiligheid en slimme en veilige samenlevingen." 

Samenvatting strategie

De doelen in deze strategie zijn gericht op het bieden van oplossingen voor maatschappelijke veiligheidsvraagstukken. Dat doen we door kennisdelen, samenwerken aan en aanjagen van innovaties. Met als spin-off het versterken van de economie, het creëren van werkgelegenheid en een digitaal weerbaarder Nederland. Digitale veiligheid en economie als twee kanten van dezelfde medaille. 

Onze aanpak is multidisciplinair en holistisch. Bedrijven, kennisinstellingen en overheden delen hun expertise en werken samen aan veiligheidsinnovaties. Gezamenlijk kijken we daarbij ook naar de ethische, maatschappelijke, juridische en privacy-aspecten van nieuwe technologische veiligheidsoplossingen. 

Vijf hoofddoelen staan centraal in de komende jaren: 

1. Kennis vergroten van Nederlandse organisaties over ‘veiligheid in een 
   digitaliserende wereld’. 

2. Krachtige samenwerkingen tot stand brengen die leiden tot valorisatie en 
   veiligheidsinnovaties. 
3. Organisaties helpen de nationale en internationale markt te betreden. 

4. Financiering regelen voor veiligheidsoplossingen en kapitaal voor groei. 

5. Helpen de mismatch tussen vraag en aanbod van security talent zichtbaar te 
   maken en op te lossen. 

De missie van HSD is om een een significante bijdrage te leveren aan een veiligere digitale wereld en een economisch sterker Nederland. Dat begint in Den Haag, de stad van vrede, recht en veiligheid, en in de provincie Zuid-Holland. We delen de gezamenlijke ambitie van een gunstig vestigingsklimaat voor bedrijven, internationale veiligheidscongressen, kapitaal en talent. Zowel in de stad als in de regio staat cyberweerbaarheid en de inzet van data en technologie voor een slimme maatschappij hoog op de agenda. Gezamenlijk werken we aan een innovatief klimaat en groei van banen in de stad, de provincie en Nederland. 

Interviewbundel

Om te laten zien hoe ons ecosysteem in de praktijk nu precies werkt, hebben we een interviewbundel gemaakt met verhalen en ervaringen van onze partners. Deze verhalen geven een beeld van de waarde die HSD samen met de partners vormt. In deze bundel is ook de aangescherpte HSD partner propositie opgenomen.
