High-Level Indo-Dutch Expert Roundtable Cybersecurity & AI

On 9 December, the Netherlands embassy in India and HSD Office hosted a High-Level Indo-Dutch Expert Roundtable Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence took place. During this roundtable a few experts in the field of cybersecurity from the Netherlands and India were brought together. The goal of the session was to share expertise and best practices between the Netherlands and India in the field of cybersecurity for the financial sector. Also it was aimed at stimulating new Indo-NL partnerships between the participants at the table.

 

The session was opened by ambassador Marten van der Berg, who spoke of the importance of the digital environment, increasing dependence on digital connectivity and the importance of cybersecurity. The ambassador stressed the close relationship between the Netherlands and India and the way in which cybersecurity is an important and relevant topic on which to increase bilateral cooperation, as we together can make a real difference there. 

 

Participants from the Netherlands and India were: AU Bank, Barclays, Bitdefender, Capital Small Finance Bank, CCoE DSCI Telangana, EclecticIQ, Fox-IT, HCL Technologies, J&K Bank, Newgen Payments, Punjab National Bank, ReaQta, The Hague University of Applied Sciences Center of Expertise Cybersecurity, ThreatFabric, and Wells Fargo. 

 

Under the guidance of moderator Prashant Gupta we dove into the impact of Artificial Intelligence for cyber threat intelligence, Security Orchestration, Identity and Access Management, and ransomware attacks on institutions and the role of government when it comes to policy and legislation. 

 

Follow-up will be planned to discuss these matters in further detail and to look into further collaboration.
