Fire Brigade and Army Will Practice with Games at Twente Airport

The HSD Region Twente Safety & Security (TS&S) wants to realise a Safety & Security Centre at  the former airfield in Twente. The plan includes a major expansion of the current Safety Campus, where mainly fire fighters are practicing. The aim is to create many more training opportunities not only for the fire brigade, but also for other first responders and military.

Serious Games
T-Xchange is developing so-called ‘serious games’. Those gaming systems will be used as training material for emergency services. The Safety & Security Center will offer space for this kind of new security technologies, such as drones.

Various parties are currently involved in the discussions surrounding the details of the airport.
