Between 18 and 23 June 2017 a (economic) mission to India is organised with Marten van den Berg, Director General Foreign Economical Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) .
This mission can offer interesting opportunities to cyber security organisations
Indian market
India offers a population of 1.3 billion and a strong growing well educated middle class, as a result it is a huge potential market for the Dutch business community. The Indian economical growth is expected to increase up to 7.8% in 2016-2017. The consumer good market grows with 15% and the investing climate is attractive. Therefore, The IMF entitles the Indian economy as a bright spot.
Some Dutch companies have already seized business opportunities as a result of previous missions. Indian counterparts, like NASSCOM, the Data Security Council of India, the states of Telangana, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, have expressed their interest in HSD as well as the Dutch expertise and consider the Netherlands as one of the preferred suppliers of expertise, technology and knowledge. Also during the project PIB India it was recognised that the security market India offers many opportunities.

These themes will be interesting for businesses and knowledge institutions which are active in the HTSM sectors: IT (cyber security, serious gaming, e-health); Medtech (medical devices, hospital infrastructure, e-health); space/aerospace; precision engineering; smart manufacturing/talent of Indian engineers. In addition, this mission is interesting for businesses and knowledges institutions deriving from the Life Science & Health, fintech, water and logistics and infrastructure sectors.
During this mission, the following topics will be discussed: sustainable urban development, urban mobility, water management, a good functioning health care, scientific collaboration and robotica.
