Soft Landing Programme to America for Dutch Cybersecurity Businesses in South-Holland

In March 2018 a Soft Landing Programme to America will be launched. Dutch cybersecurity businesses are offered a chance to explore the American east coast. The Soft Landing programme focusses in Dutch cybersecurity businesses in the region South-Holland with multiple employees, a customer portfolio in the Netherlands, an internationalisation plan- and budget, and a clear target goal description. The participating businesses work from the office of BWtech Research & Business Park in Baltimore, free of charge. After a mutual accord, the trip will be planned and the programme will start.

 

Register before 15 November in English.

 

What is a Soft Landing?

A 'Soft Landing' programme is an exchange programme for entrepreneurs and businesses with international business ambitions. Through the programme, with a specific theme for certain region, businesses are offered the opportunity to explore business possibilities in a new market. With partners, Innovation Quarter help out with knowledge, support, networking and office space.

 

This Soft Landing programme is for Dutch cybersecurity businesses and consists of a exploration trip to Maryland (USA) for a few working days. This trip includes access to free office space in BWtech Baltimore, 5-10 matchmaking introductions to the regional network, and an explanation on doing how to do business in America. IQ works together with The Maryland Department of Commerce, the Dutch Embassy in Washington DC and BWtech Research & Business Park.

 

Why Maryland?

Maryland is an American state with a strategic placing between New York and Washington DC, which makes it an important economic hub for the American eastcoast. A strong economy with impressive numbers, and strong developed sectors like IT, electronics, telecom and security. As main distributor of Greater Washington DC, Maryland offers amongst others: 21 military facilities and locations, more than 30 incubators and accelerators, over 60 federal agencies, 74 federal laboratories, over 110,000 IT professionals and more than 10,000 IT & cyber businesses.
