FidelSec recently joined Security Delta (HSD) as a Premium Partner! FidelSec is a Dutch cybersecurity and compliance consultancy operating at the intersection of digital security and regulatory frameworks. Their work is rooted in the security sector: they help organisations identify vulnerabilities, implement protective measures, and build lasting resilience against evolving cyber threats. Their services cover the full spectrum: risk analysis, security awareness training, technical implementation, continuous monitoring, incident response, and (C)ISO-as-a-Service for organisations that need embedded security leadership without a permanent hire.

FidelSec was born from a collaboration that developed naturally over many years. Co-owner Muhammed Akbulut had built a strong reputation as a technical expert, regularly assisting lawyers with the increasingly complex technical side of legal cases. Talha Yilmaz was one of those lawyers, and over time he went on to specialise in IT law, adding a Specialisation Programme in Cybercrime & Cybersecurity at Leiden University to his background. The more they worked together, the more one question kept surfacing: what if a company existed right at the intersection of technology and law? Not one or the other, but both, by design. That idea ultimately became FidelSec.

From compliance to cyber resilience

FidelSec supports organisations that want to be both compliant and cyber-resilient. Some of their clients are technically skilled, others are not, and FidelSec meets each of them where they are. Their work follows a five-step approach: analysis, training, implementation, monitoring, and incident response. On top of that, they offer (C)ISO-as-a-Service, giving organisations the strategic security leadership required under frameworks like NIS2 and ISO/IEC 27001; without needing a full-time in-house hire. Whether a client needs help navigating GDPR, preparing for an audit, or understanding what new legislation means for their operations, FidelSec provides practical, accessible guidance. No unnecessary jargon, no paper-tiger solutions.

HSD Community

At several security conferences, FidelSec kept noticing the HSD booths. Back at the office, they researched HSD more thoroughly; its mission, its community, what it stood for. What they found resonated strongly with FidelSec, as HSD's mission matched their own outlook: a belief that security should be collaborative, that fresh ideas deserve a platform, and that good consultancy means actually improving security rather than just generating paperwork.

FidelSec's ambition is to be a knowledge company; the kind of place that genuinely advances someone's career; where working there means something. To build that reputation, FidelSec's people need to be embedded in the security sector, exchanging ideas with peers and contributing to the wider conversation. The HSD Premium Partnership felt like exactly the right environment for that. FidelSec is also particularly excited about the prospect of coaching early-stage startups. Imagine a company with cutting-edge technology but real uncertainty around regulatory requirements like the Cyber Resilience Act; FidelSec may bridge that gap and help promising ideas survive their first encounter with compliance.

Muhammed Akbulut, Co-owner FidelSec: "Positioning and network, in equal measure. We want to be known as a company that lifts others up - supporting startups, sharing knowledge across the cluster, and building sustainable long-term business relationships. HSD provides a structure where all of that can happen naturally. It is as much about what we can contribute as what we gain, and we believe the best relationships grow from that kind of generosity"

Where technology meets law

FidelSec brings a rare combination of deep technical knowledge (hardware, software, networking), alongside fluency in Dutch and European law and regulation. But what truly sets them apart is how they engage with that knowledge. FidelSec reads every new law and directive in detail, they discuss them, they debate landmark court cases and study their outcomes. It is just something they do in everyday conversation. That instinct for integration (merging the best of engineering with the best of law) shows up directly in how FidelSec works. Muhammed's personal implementation philosophy comes from his background as a software engineer and agile practitioner: Just In Time. The right measure, at the right moment, solving the actual problem. Cost-effective, practical, and it works.

Collaborations

FidelSec's client base is intentionally diverse: schools, social welfare organisations, logistics companies, food wholesalers, and IT firms. These are often sectors that lack dedicated security resources and are underserved by traditional consultancies. Their accessible, practical approach makes them a natural fit for organisations that need real help; not a shelf full of frameworks they will never use.

For the future, FidelSec is absolutely seeking new collaborations around specific security challenges. they are actively looking to partner with startups that bring fresh ideas and with established organisations navigating complex technical or legislative terrain. Their preferred role is advisory expertise combined with early adoption: testing new solutions in the field, giving honest feedback, and helping promising ideas find their footing. FidelSec is also not precious about their own ideas. If sharing a vision with another company leads to a better solution for a cyber-resilient Netherlands, they consider that a win.

Growing towards a more cyber-resilient europe

FidelSec's main ambition for the future is growth; in team size, in clients, and in impact. They are looking for people who want to become genuine dual-experts: deeply skilled in technology or law, but fluent enough in the other domain to answer the question across the aisle. That profile is rare, and building a team of people who embody it is central to who they are. Beyond that, FidelSec wants to be the company known for solving hard problems with expertise and real impact, and to do so across Europe. Every directive they help a client navigate, every startup they coach through a compliance hurdle, is a contribution to a more cyber-resilient Europe. That is the bigger picture we are working towards.
