Dutch Cyber Delegation to Taiwan: CYBERSEC Taiwan 2026
From 4–8 May 2026, a Dutch cyber delegation will visit Taipei to participate in CYBERSEC Taiwan, further strengthening the long-standing collaboration between the Netherlands and Taiwan in cybersecurity innovation, knowledge exchange, and economic cooperation. This mission builds on a strong foundation: the Dutch cybersecurity ecosystem has successfully conducted two previous missions to Taiwan, establishing trusted connections and identifying concrete opportunities for collaboration. This delegation is positioned explicitly as an economic and knowledge-sharing mission, focused on strengthening industry collaboration, research exchange, and innovation partnerships between both ecosystems.
Cyber threats are an ever-present force; constant, evolving, and impossible to ignore. As attacks shift from isolated incidents to an ongoing reality, the meaning of security continues to change. Today, true cybersecurity is not only about prevention, but about resilience: the ability to absorb impact, recover quickly, and continue operating without disruption. Each challenge becomes a catalyst for adaptation, driving organisations to emerge stronger and more prepared than before. In response to this new reality, Cybersec 2026, Taiwan’s leading cybersecurity conference, is centered around the theme “Resilient Future”.
The event brings together global cybersecurity leaders, technology innovators, and practitioners to exchange perspectives, share proven practices, and build real-world resilience. Cybersec 2026 will feature more than 300 expert-led sessions, while Cybersec Expo will showcase 400+ international cybersecurity brands, welcoming an expected audience of over 20,000 attendees from Taiwan and around the world. The conference experience is further enriched by dedicated focus zones, including the Cyber Taiwan Pavilion, spotlighting local innovation and R&D achievements; the Cyber Talent Zone, designed to empower the next generation of cybersecurity professionals; and the AIoT & Hardware Security Zone, addressing the growing challenges of intelligent connectivity and hardware security. Through cross-disciplinary collaboration and collective defense, this event aims to strengthen cyber resilience.
Aim
Together with partners including the Netherlands Office Taipei and InnovationQuarter, the mission will focus on:
- Supporting two-way market access and identifying new business opportunities
- Strengthening cyber resilience through complementary AI hardware and software capabilities
- Facilitating public–private knowledge exchange and innovation partnerships
- Exploring opportunities for joint R&D collaboration and funding
Target group
The target group of this missions are companies and research institutes (from NL) that have visited Taiwan before (f.e. during an earlier mission) and those that have expressed an interest in doing business in Taiwan.
