The SECURE Project is organising its first Info Day webinar to inform European and EEA companies about the first SECURE Open Call, aimed at strengthening cybersecurity capabilities of SMEs in line with the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

The SECURE project is coordinated by the Italian National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (ACN) and brings together partners from seven EU countries. The project is funded under the Digital Europe Programme by the European Commission and managed by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre.

Supporting SMEs with CRA compliance

With the Cyber Resilience Act introducing new mandatory cybersecurity requirements for digital products, many SMEs face challenges in understanding scope, obligations and implementation timelines. The SECURE project addresses this by offering financial support, practical tools and expert guidance to help organisations move towards CRA compliance in a structured and achievable way.

Through at least two open calls over the coming years, SECURE will provide co-funding to support the implementation of cybersecurity measures aligned with CRA requirements. This Info Day focuses on Call 1 and explains how organisations can participate.

What to expect during the Info Day

During the webinar, participants will receive detailed information on:

  • the objectives and scope of the first SECURE Open Call;

  • eligibility criteria and application procedures;

  • funding percentages and co-financing mechanisms;

  • how to register on the SECURE online platform and submit a funding application.

In addition, the session will highlight how the SECURE project supports SMEs through templates, training and hands-on guidance, enabling organisations to work step by step towards compliance rather than navigating CRA requirements alone.

Key areas addressed by SECURE

The project supports SMEs in:

  • conducting a gap analysis against CRA requirements;

  • assessing whether products fall within the scope of the CRA;

  • mapping existing security processes and identifying gaps;

  • implementing vulnerability management practices;

  • creating Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs) and related documentation;

  • training teams and starting compliance activities early.

This Info Day is relevant for SMEs developing or manufacturing digital products who want to better understand their obligations under the Cyber Resilience Act and explore available EU support mechanisms.
