Dutch Women in Cyber Security (WiCS) : Petra van Schayik

Women are rare within the cyber security world. This weekend the Dutch newspaper Financieel Dagblad started a portrait series of Dutch women in Cybersecurity who are part of Women in Cyber Security (WiCS). This week features HSD partner's Compumatica CEO Petra van Schayik. Van Schayik has more than 30 years of experience in cyber security. She started Compumatica in 1991.Compumatica is also one of the partners within the HSD Partners in Business Japan (#PIBJapan2016). This portrait series also features three other members of Women in Cyber Security (WiCS) who will, in succession, appear in the Financieel Dagblad the upcoming Saturdays.

 

What is WiCS?

WiCS main goal "[i]s to foster connections among the under-represented women in the various cyber security fields (research, programming, policy, architecture, design, management, communications etc.). Women in Cyber Security Foundation allows women to connect with other women who share the same cyber security interests and ambitions, who attend the same conferences and who face the same career hurdles and opportunities."
