Today the Hague Security Delta (HSD), Twente Safetey & Security (TSS) and the Dutch Institute Technology Safety & Security signed a covenant on further cooperation between these innovation regions.

The agreement ensures better cooperation and improved coordination between the three regions and will lead to both social and economic returns. In collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice, a national security innovation agenda for public-private cooperation will be developed. There will also be a joint effort to support the nationwide roll-outs of successful innovation projects and to ‘guide’ local, regional, national and European capital and funds to innovation projects. Some concrete goals are to counter the fragmentation of the Dutch security domain, to reinforce the Top Sector policy, to make the Netherlands a leading player in the international security sector and to develop capabilities to handle complex national security issues.

The collaboration is controlled by the HSD Board, in which both Brabant and Twente have a seat from now on. Together with the Ministry of Security and Justice, the board will align the cooperation with national security knowledge institutes and departments.
