Financial Crime Week 2023 Reveals Full Programme
Over the years experts have observed different forms of crime growing more and more interconnected. Attempting to follow an illegally acquired euro would lead to a complicated and tough to follow trail. During the Financial Crime Week (18-21 April) experts will be gathering to answer the toughest questions we are facing when it comes to financial crime, such as how to detect it, how to combat it, and what best practices are known.
The week’s programme is kicking off with a day full of keynotes and breakout sessions in Circl in Amsterdam. The second day is all about fraudster behaviour, and prevention of fraud and cybercrime in a series of online talks. Day three of the FCW is a technology day on the HSD Campus, with talks on the use of technology to prevent and fight financial crime. The programme will wrap up with a cycling tour in Amsterdam on 21 April, where various areas will be visited with a ‘fraud story’ behind it.
During Financial Crime Week the IFFC thesis prize will be awarded, which comes with a €1000 cash prize. This award is given to students that have written an excellent thesis on a subject related to financial-economic crime in the last 2 years at a Dutch institution. The deadline for application is 1 April.
