From 25 – 30 August 2019, the fifth edition of the International Cyber Security Summer School 2019 (ICSSS 2018) will take place in the City of The Hague (City of Peace, Justice and Security). The registration for the Summer School is as of now officially open, and there are only 60 places available! Register before 31 May 2019!

Programme
ICSSS19 will host a diverse, multinational group of up to 60 Master and PhD students during a six-day programme that allows participants to gain deeper knowledge and understanding of cyber security concepts. Themes that will be discussed during this summer school are behaviour in cyber space, understanding and visualizing the cyber threat landscape, and cyber crime as a service. During this week participants will learn about the latest developments and the cutting edge cyber security technologies that exist today and work on assignments provided by notable international organisations. In previous editions students of 21 different nationalities participated in the programme.

Cyber security requires an international and multi-disciplinary approach

In addition to receiving lectures from the organising (inter)national institutions, students will also receive guest lectures from experts in the field. As the NCIA organisers note: "protecting our communication networks and the information on them is more important than ever. Cyber security requires an international approach. This summer school is one route for us to inspire and educate the next generation of cyber security professionals across the international community." Connecting future cyber security professionals with experts from diverse organisations in the field creates valuable knowledge communities and helps in providing access to talent in the field of cyber security.
