Legian, based in The Hague, and Nautilus OT, based in Haarlem, have announced their partnership to provide large enterprises and mid-sized organisations with a comprehensive and practical approach to OT cybersecurity. By combining Legian’s thirty years of experience in IT and OT consultancy with Nautilus OT’s innovative, European-hosted monitoring platform, the partnership helps organisations gain greater visibility and control over their operational environments.

A persistent misconception in the market is that advanced OT cybersecurity is only achievable for large industrial organisations with significant budgets and specialised internal teams. Legian and Nautilus OT challenge this assumption. As an independent IT and OT knowledge partner, Legian has supported organisations for decades in managing the complexity of IT and OT environments. With more than 400 customers and over 150 experts in cloud, cybersecurity, network infrastructure and business-IT alignment, Legian sees a growing demand for effective OT cybersecurity solutions.

Organisations increasingly need greater visibility and control over their OT environments, particularly with the upcoming Dutch Cyber Security Act (Cbw) and the requirements arising from European legislation such as NIS2. To support customers in addressing these challenges, Legian has selected Nautilus OT as its technology partner.

“OT environments bring a high level of complexity, but that does not mean OT cybersecurity has to be complex or inaccessible. By combining our expertise with Nautilus OT’s platform, we make OT cybersecurity, including demonstrable risk management, continuous monitoring and vulnerability management, accessible to organisations that want to maintain control over their operational processes,” says Dick Hoogendoorn, CTO at Legian.

Nautilus OT provides a 100% passive and non-intrusive monitoring platform that maps OT and IoT environments without injecting a single packet into the network. The platform runs entirely on European infrastructure, independent of US-based hyperscalers, and translates technical vulnerabilities into financially quantified risk reports that are directly understandable for executives and CFOs.

For organisations subject to NIS2 requirements, the platform provides demonstrable evidence and insights, rather than simply delivering a list of vulnerabilities or a compliance score.

Jeroen van Es, CCO at Nautilus OT, highlights the importance of the partnership: “Together with Legian, we aim to strengthen the cyber resilience of the mid-sized business segment. We provide insight into OT environments, continuously monitor for vulnerabilities, alert organisations when deviations occur and deliver the evidence required to demonstrate compliance with the Cbw. All of this is delivered through a fully Dutch-developed platform.”

A practical approach to OT cybersecurity

For Legian customers, the partnership provides a concrete and complementary OT cybersecurity offering, including:

  • OT assessments that identify which devices and systems are present within operational environments, what risks they introduce and where immediate action is required.
  • Continuous OT asset monitoring through the fully passive Nautilus OT platform, enabling organisations to maintain ongoing visibility into their networks without disrupting operations.
  • Cbw compliance support that goes beyond checklists by providing demonstrable evidence to support regulatory requirements.

Within this partnership, Legian acts as the first point of contact, providing strategic advice and implementation support. Nautilus OT delivers the technological foundation and provides third-line support.

Cybersec Netherlands 2026

On 9 and 10 September 2026, Legian and Nautilus OT will jointly participate in Cybersec Netherlands at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht (stand 11.D060). Visitors can experience the platform, discuss OT cybersecurity challenges and discover how the combination of Legian’s consultancy approach and Nautilus OT’s technology can deliver tangible value for their organisation.
