Human Trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring, or receipt of people through force, fraud, or deception, with the aim of exploiting them for profit. The philosophy of Sustainable Rescue Foundation is to combat human trafficking by keeping it on the national agenda as business as usual for a healthy economy and society. Human trafficking data should be coordinated, reliable, and measurable. To achieve this, the Foundation's goal is to fuse existing performance management and digital technology solutions to create a trafficking in human beings data ecosystem. An ecosystem can unlock the value of data and progress the Prevent, Prosecute, and Protect processes and act as a catalyst to pioneer custom data solutions, increase probability of convictions, and enhance predictive policing to make human trafficking visible.

In this digital technology era, it is inevitable that traffickers, facilitators, and victims will leave a digital trail. By understanding and combining diverse data points, technology can be used to expose this crime. All sectors (private, public and civil) have a role to play in disrupting the human trafficking model. If there is an assumption that data collection begins in the trafficking zone, then each sector holds unique data pieces to develop an integrated view of the entire trafficking activity chain. Sustainable Rescue Foundation' security focus is to facilitate collaboration between diverse organisations fighting human trafficking who want to use privacy-enhancing technology to legally and securely share sensitive data. The Foundation works with a suite of partners to develop forensics and enable real-time and operational data intelligence to disrupt the human trafficking business model.
