How do you mitigate the consequences of a hack? How do you remove malware? And how do you keep the (digital) door closed to intruders? All questions that are addressed in an Incident Response Plan. To give entrepreneurs from the horticultural sector insight into how to compose an incident response plan, Cyber Resilience Centre Greenport organised a knowledge session at Growers United in Maasdijk on 30 April.

Every month, Cyber Resilience Center Greenport organises a knowledge session on a current topic in the field of cybersecurity. These session include a presentation by a specialist and time for practical questions. The meetings are easy to follow and accessable for people with diverent kind of knowledge levels. Afterwards, participants can immediately start using the knowledge they have acquired.

Topic: Incident Response Plan

The 30 April session took place at Growers United, a cooperation of 38 vegetable growers in Maasdijk. During the session Tienco de Vries, ICT manager at Kwekerij Baas shared his experience with incident respons. In addition, practical tips were given by an expert on how to compose an Incident Response Plan. Which is a manual that supports employees in detecting, addressing and recovering from security incidents such as outages, data breaches or cyber attacks. Main goal is to respond quickly, calmly and effectively, so that any damage is limited and the recovery process has as little impact as possible. The interactive session provided meaningfull insight for the participants.
