Global Cyberspace Conference 2015 Organized in The Hague

After the Afghanistan conference and the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS), the city of The Hague will
 host yet another world summit. On 16 and 17 April 2015 ministers from many countries will meet at the World Forum to talk about cyber security and cyber crime.

In the Dutch newspaper ‘de Telegraaf’ a spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that over 100 countries are invited for the international Cyberspace Conference. "In addition there shall be company representatives and civil society organizations at the summit”. Around 1300 participants are expected.

The Hague considers the Cyberspace Conference as an opportunity to show the world that the city is the place to be for security organizations. Companies, governments and knowledge institutes from the entire country, cooperating under the name ‘The Hague Security Delta’ will present their innovations and expertise to the world.

The conference requires huge security measures. Mayor Jozias van Aartsen announced in the newspaper that he is going to do everything he can to ensure a flawless conference. "Just like during the NSS. In November we start with the preparations, and we will closely involve local residents, as well as The Hague's businesses." Van Aartsen said that thanks to the international Nuclear Security Summit The Hague has made name as host of this kind of large conferences. That is also good news for the local economy. "The international sector delivers our city more and more: 5.2 billion euro per year and 37,500 jobs”.
