On the 1st of December  NATO Communications and Information Agency announces that they are planning to purchase cyber defence systems to replace systems reaching their end of life at the NATO Cyber Security Centre.

The estimated value of the contract is 27.1 million EUR.

"The NATO Cyber Security Centre defends NATO networks 24 hours a day, seven days a week – and they need the right tools to do so. Collaborating with industry is key to maintaining the highest degree of cyber security across the NATO enterprise," said Thibaut Mahieux, Project Manager for the effort.

The procurement will refresh the NATO Cyber Security Centre's defence systems by replacing systems such as firewalls that are reaching their end of life, while modernizing them where newer techniques and technologies exist.

This procurement is part of the Capability Package (CP) 120 Programme, which is designed to refresh all CIS security systems in a phased approach. Each phase will also include a series of capability enhancements.

The Agency intends to release a formal Request for Quotations in the third quarter of 2021, and award the contract by the fourth quarter of 2021. Implementation would begin in 2022.

The procurement will be conducted under Basic Ordering Agreement Plus (BOA+) procedures. Click here to learn more about the BOA Programme.
