Wanted: Ethical Hackers to Hâck the Municipality of The Hague

In cooperation with the City of The Hague, Cybersprint organises the second edition of its 'Hâck Den Haag' (Hack The Hague) where ethical hackers are invited and challenged to hack the municipality of The Hague to uncover vulnerabilities and safeguard the city's governing body. On the 22 November, hackers in teams of two are given the start signal at 9:30 in the morning to hack the municipality in a pre-defined scope and setting but it is assured to be even more comprehensive and challenging than last year with more prizes. 

 

Rules of engagement

The scope of the challenge will be announced during the kick-off of the day, the rules of engagement for the event are subject to the Responsible Disclosure Policy (in dutch) and the Data Protection Declaration of The Hague. An independent jury consisting of experts will evaluate the findings made by the participants; the winner will receive a reward for vulnerabilities found during the event. Multiple rewards are out for the taking based upon creativity, originality, impact and a variety of other categories with media attention to the winners.
